Creating Access. Building Confidence. Supporting Every Learner. |
Chesapeake Public Schools is committed to ensuring every student has access to meaningful physical education experiences. Through our Adaptive Physical Education program, students receive personalized instruction and thoughtful modifications that allow them to participate, build skills, and grow in confidence. We thank Steve Oliver, David Noblin, our dedicated P.E. teachers, and our partners at the YMCA for creating inclusive opportunities, including swim instruction for Western Branch Primary students. 🎥 See our students in action at the YMCA.

Chesapeake Public Schools Featured in National STEM Publication |
Chesapeake Public Schools is proud to share that our division was recently recognized on the national stage for our commitment to STEM education. AASA, The School Superintendents Association, invited CPS to contribute a chapter to STEM Century: It Takes a Village to Raise a 21st Century Graduate, placing our work in the national STEM spotlight. Superintendent Dr. Jared A. Cotton and Chief Academic Officer Dr. Dalphine Joppy co-authored the chapter, highlighting our Divisionwide Blueprint for STEM and showcasing how hands-on, innovative STEM learning is embedded across all grade levels and schools. From elementary classrooms to high school pathways, our students are engaging in meaningful learning experiences that prepare them for college, careers, and a rapidly evolving world. We are honored to represent our community in this national publication and grateful to AASA for the opportunity to share the impactful work happening every day in Chesapeake Public Schools.
