Crestwood Intermediate & B. M. Williams Primary New Attendance Zones
Effective for the 2025-2026 school year, the School Board has approved new attendance zones for Crestwood Intermediate and B. M. Williams Primary Schools. This change aligns with the Chesapeake Public Schools Capital Improvement Plan, which calls for primary and intermediate schools at the elementary school level to be converted to K-5 elementary schools, where feasible. CVA Applications are Due March 10, 2025
The Chesapeake Virtual Academy (CVA) is now accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year. CVA offers full and part-time online learning for K-12 students in Chesapeake. Students remain connected to their zoned school and can participate in all school-sponsored activities, sports, and clubs. The deadline to apply is March 10, 2025. Click here for more information.

Does your child have an IEP or a 504 plan? Then SEAC is your voice! The next meeting will be held on March 11, 2025, at the School Administration Building located at 1421 Kristina Way from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Scholarship Resources
We encourage you to view ScholarshipVUE. ScholarshipVUE serves as a resource for locating various scholarships for high school students and is updated on a regular basis throughout the school year.
The Virginia School Boards Association is hosting its 5th Annual Essay/Speaking Contest for Virginia public high school students (grades 9–12). The first-place winner will present at the 2025 VSBA Conference on Education in Richmond (July 25, 2025), speak at the 2025 Student School Board Representative Workshop in Williamsburg (Nov 19, 2025), and receive a $1,000 scholarship! This year’s theme is "Champions for Impact," offering students a chance to showcase their writing and public speaking skills while competing for funds to support their education. VEX ROBOTICS COMPETITION
Earlier this month, Deep Creek Middle School hosted the VEX VIQC Rapid Relay Robotics Tournament which showcased many of our students' innovation, teamwork, and engineering excellence. Congratulations to Hugo Owens Middle's Next Gen team for winning the Design Award and to Oscar Smith Middle School's Atomkatz for earning the Judge’s Award. Thank you to all teams, volunteers, and supporters for making this an unforgettable event. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for these young innovators.
