| Happy March! There is a distinct shift in energy this month. As the days get longer and we (hopefully) see the last of the frost, our school community is moving into one of the most fast-paced and rewarding stretches of the academic year. With the first semester behind us and spring testing approaching, it’s easy for students to feel a bit of "academic fatigue." I encourage our students to stay the course. "Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out." Whether it's mastering a tough concept in Algebra or perfecting a routine for the spring musical, the consistency shown in March pays off in June.

Mr. Sklat's students used pure gamification to review for an EPF test using a "Boss Battle" set-up (a concept that he previously used successfully as an Algebra teacher). The students defeated the villain at the very end. Student feedback on the activity was very positive! See Mr. Sklat in L14 for more information. |
