There is so much to celebrate from the month of February! Our winter athletic teams wrapped up great seasons, and our speech and debate students also represented our school exceptionally well. Our Family Fun Night was a lot of fun and we thank all of the families who attended and helped make it a success. We are also incredibly proud of the students who organized and participated in the talent show. They did an amazing job. Getting up in front of an auditorium full of people is truly commendable for a middle school student, and their courage, preparation, and school spirit were on full display. As we head into March, our spring athletic teams are beginning to take shape, our music students are hard at work getting ready for their upcoming concerts and students are continuing to make strides in the classroom! We have a lot to look forward to in the month ahead.
Please take a moment to check ParentVUE and assist your student with completing any missing work they are able to complete. The end of the grading period is just around the corner and we want their report card to reflect the hard work they have been showing in class. Also, please check in with your student to see if they are in need of any school supplies that may have been used up or misplaced throughout the year. Many students are running low on essentials such as glue sticks and pencils, and having the proper materials each day helps them stay prepared and successful in class.
Recently, we reviewed our academic, attendance, behavior, and dress code expectations with students. We ask that you please reiterate these expectations at home to help ensure students remain focused and on track for a strong finish to the school year.
We also encourage students to take advantage of Power Sessions, tutoring, and study help opportunities if they need additional support in their classes. These resources are in place to help every student succeed. Thank you for your continued partnership and support as we work together to help our students finish the year strong. Go Braves, Mrs. Stanley |
