Message from our Principal - Mrs. Stanley

Dear Parents and Guardians,

The school year continues to be wonderful here at Indian River Middle! Our students are shining as they demonstrate growth, enthusiasm, and school pride in all they do. Classrooms are filled with energy and engagement!

October ended with a BANG!  Students got to observe phase changes, physical changes, and chemical changes in action as Mr. Myers, Mrs. Jordan and Mrs. Holl blew up a pumpkin during Demo Day!

The Mega Blast fundraiser has officially wrapped up, and we’re thrilled to share that we raised over $23,000! This incredible achievement reflects the hard work and generosity of our students and families. Your support helps us continue to provide engaging activities, exciting events, and meaningful opportunities for our students. Thank you for making this year’s fundraiser such a huge success!

Looking ahead, Winter Sports tryouts can officially begin on November 17th.  Make sure your student has an active school physical on file if they want to try out for Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, or Wrestling.

We also have several important events this month:

End of the Grading Period - November 3rd

National Junior Honor Society Ceremony - November 3rd

Teacher Work Day - November 4th (school closed)

Veteran’s Day - November 11th (school closed)

Family Fun Night - November 13th

Thanksgiving Holiday - November 26 - 28 (school closed)

We’re excited for another month filled with growth, learning, and school spirit. Thank you for your continued support in making Indian River Middle a place where every student can Rise!

Go  Braves,

Brenna Stanley
Principal
