As always, our school community continues to make wonderful things happen for our students. Thank you to our PTA and families for supporting such a successful Book Fair—it was exciting to see our students so enthusiastic about books and reading. I would also like to thank our school counseling team for organizing a fantastic Career Day filled with fun and meaningful learning experiences. We are grateful to the many guests who took time to visit and share their careers with our students. Looking ahead, we have several exciting events this month, including our Vocabulary Parade, the Masked Reader Reveal, and the chance for students to watch our chicks grow and change so quickly. It is shaping up to be a wonderful and engaging month for our Bruins!

Our school’s Lost and Found is currently overflowing with jackets, sweaters, water bottles, and other items left behind by students. We encourage families to remind their children to check the Lost and Found if they are missing anything. All unclaimed items will be donated during Spring Break, so please make sure to look through the collection by the end of the school day on April 3rd. We would love to reunite these items with their owners before they find a new home! |

| We Need Your Help with the Yearbook
|
As we continue capturing all the special moments of this school year, we need your help! Please remember to send any photos from school events to wbpyearbook26@gmail.com. The more pictures we receive, the better our yearbook will be—helping us showcase the smiles, celebrations, and memories that make Western Branch Primary such a special place. Thank you for helping us preserve this year’s Bruin memories!

How many days has your child been absent from school over the past 4 weeks? Was it just one sick day or two? What about the day they left early for the dentist? Or the days you took off to extend a vacation? It can be hard to keep track.
Missing a day here or there may not seem like a problem. But school absences add up quickly. Missing two days a month—excused or unexcused—can add up to a child being considered chronically absent. The good news is that showing up at school has powerful, positive effects on children. Chronic absenteeism means missing school—for any reason—excused or unexcused. Chronic absenteeism is defined as missing 10% (or around 18 days) during a school year.
Set up your ParentVue account to submit absentee notes, check grades, and see up-to-date attendance. ( Report an Absence in ParentVue) |
